ACC 557 ASSIGNMENT 3 - YOU ARE AN INVESTMENT ANALYST Strayer University(USE AS GUIDE ONLY)
Accounting 557 Assignment 3
As the representative from mytax accounting firm, I am in charge of stock market
analysis that will be presented to clients as part of the professional consultation process. One of
our high-profile clients is trying to determine the possible investment potential between two
companies, PepsiCo and The Coca-Cola Company.
However, before I can recommend investments to clients, I need to familiarize myself
with the background of these two companies. In the following analysis I will discuss the history,
products and services of PepsiCo and Coca-Cola. I will then look at their respective customer
bases in general terms as well as their suppliers.
I will research several current media issues and comment on the possible impact these
media events may have regarding public perception upon the respective companies as well as the
impact upon stock value. I will also analyze the past three years of stock prices for each of these
respective companies (see the Excel spreadsheets).I will also analyze their respective financial
statements and their most recent K-10 (see the Excel spreadsheets).
