Everybody is familiar with the bright colorful circle of the Google icon but many do not know the man behind the mystery. Born in 1973, Larry Page is a wealthy billionaire who didn’t start off that way. His parents were computer genius’s probably prompting him to do computer engineering at Stanford University. At this university he met his friend and co-founder of Google, Sergey Brinn (A&E, 1996-2013). A&E (1996-2013) states that they “called the search engine Google after the mathematical term Googol, which is a 1 followed by 100 zeros, to reflect their mission to organize the immense amount of information available on the Web” (para. 2). They raised capital from friends and family to the tune of one million dollars in order to launch this company in 1998. Google basically is a search engine that will pull up the most popular sites as the right answer and now has over 200 million queries a day making Google the most successful search engine. Page and Brinn are very wealthy after their headquarters in California made the company public in 2004. Google also owns the next most popular site You Tube which helps to generate billions of dollars every day for these young billionaires (A&E, 1996- 2013). After much disgruntlement, Page has replaced CEO Eric Schmidt in 2011. Page’s unique leadership style, thirsty desire for innovation, and ultimate desire to conquer the world of the internet will help to solidify the future of Google. Google has a very unique culture that exemplifies the meaning of the word fun. Offices are designed in playful settings like a bowling alley or a jungle office in Australia. This is to encourage a free fun loving atmosphere that will spark creativity and innovation (Google, 2013). Z. Bulygo (2013) blogs that the Googolplex which is Google’s home office headquarters is “more of an adult playground then a place for work” (para. 1). Many people feel that this culture
